Hey!

I’m Nori Jane, a studio artist from Birmingham, AL. I do all kinds of art—painting, drawing, printmaking, writing—as well as studying Communication and English.

I hope that in my work you’ll be able to see the clear influence of my Lutheran faith, as well as artists like Fransisco Soria, Ivanka Demchuk, Edwin Austin Abbey, and Edouard Manet. I hope that you’ll also be able to see the influences of comic artists like Dan Mora and my older sister, who taught me how to draw.

All I’ve ever wanted to depict is people, so as you explore, you’ll see a lot of those. All of my pieces are pretty interactive, too, so as I reach for you, go ahead and reach back. In the words of the Site Director from Close Encounters of the Third Kind just before they make contact with the aliens,
